Many people obtain financing from the car dealership, but this is a mistake. Dealership interest rates are typically much higher than loan rates. Usually because they tack on a percent or two for their profit.  Your bank or credit union is one of the best places to start researching car loan rates.

The Art Of Negotiations:

Buying a car is stressful and much like going to war. Next to buying a house, purchasing a new car is one of the most expensive purchase you will make in life.

Do everything you can do to negotiate the car loan and knock the purchase price down. Start with a ridiculous number below invoice and work your way up. DO NOT negotiate from the MSRP price down. This does not work in your favor.
